u need 2 get special shampoo that will kill the head lice. I think u can buy it at drugstores, or ask the doctor.

Your local drugstore should have a shampoo that you can buy over-the-counter, that contains either pyrethrin or permethrin.

This CDC website is really good, and should provide a lot of answers, including exactly how to apply the shampoo:

    Good luck!

Hi, this is what I did after my son got lice several times at school and it works like a bomb! I wasn’t prepared to put toxic chemicals all over him so I spent a huge amount of time doing research and experimenting and this is what I now do:
I put 3-4 drops of either oregano or cinnamon LEAF essential oils into about 50ml jojoba oil and massage this onto the scalp – be careful – it can burn – it’s quite strong. (I find the cinnamon leaf to be more effective). Purchase a Nitty Gritty Nit Free Comb (they’re available online in the UK, not sure about other countries). Comb through hair in sections. The comb is important because it’s specially designed with spiral teeth. Really hurts with long hair, but boy does it get the job done! I got lice from my son and my hair is waist-length and managed to eradicate the little buggers after 3 attempts using this method!
Once a week I add one drop of cinnamon leaf oil to a blob of conditioner when washing my son’s hair. Apparently the oil is a deterrent. He has never had another episode even though others in his class have.
